Wishlist

Last modified on

The Wishlist feature in Sesame lets you capture and track artworks you encounter while visiting galleries, attending art fairs, or reviewing shared recommendations. It acts as a dedicated space for pieces you are following before deciding whether to acquire them.

Adding a work to your Wishlist

When you spot an artwork you want to remember:

  1. Select Wishlist from the main left-hand navigation menu.

  2. Click or tap Add a work to open the creation modal.

  3. Capture a photo directly on your phone using Take photo, or upload existing images via Choose photos.

  4. Fill in any optional artwork details you have to hand:

    • Artist, title, year, medium, and dimensions

    • Seen at location, Date seen, and Seller details

    • Asking price, currency, reference links, and custom notes

  5. Tap Create to save the entry to your wishlist.

Managing works on your Wishlist

All saved items appear as cards in your Wishlist tab, categorised by status pills (Open, Acquired, Archived, or All).

Clicking the three dots menu on any Wishlist artwork card provides several actions:

  • Acquired: Select this option when you purchase the piece. Converting an artwork to Acquired moves it directly into your main Sesame collection, transferring all the images, seller info, pricing, and notes you entered previously.

  • Archive: Move works you are no longer actively considering out of your main view while retaining the record for future reference.

  • Delete: Permanently remove the entry from your account if you are no longer interested.
