Landmark Collaboration with Hong Kong International Airport

Landmark Collaboration with Hong Kong International Airport

Today, Eythos and Hong Kong International Airport are proud to announce a major, milestone collaboration. As a leading global provider of precision art storage and logistics, Eythos has been awarded tenancy to fit-out and operate a stand-alone, purpose-designed facility for art and high-value assets within the Hong Kong International Airport ecosystem. By placing museum-grade custody infrastructure inside one of the world’s most secure and efficient logistics environments, the facility sets a new standard for the protection and movement of high-value assets globally. This is planned to open in 2027.

Founded in 2024 to address a structural gap in the industry, Eythos currently operates facilities in Hong Kong and South Korea and collaborates with key art world players worldwide, including appointment as official shippers for Art Basel Hong Kong, Maison&Objet Interiors Hong Kong, Frieze Seoul and ART SG. Eythos’ model focuses on protecting what matters by designing infrastructure, technology, and environmental systems that establish new global standards. Eythos offers specialised asset storage; institutional standards of art handling; sustainable solutions through carbon measurement, industry certifications, and transparent best-practice initiatives; and an integrated physical infrastructure with a proprietary digital ecosystem.

The launch of this new project with Hong Kong International Airport further positions Hong Kong as a trusted global gateway for cultural and high-value assets. The initiative strengthens Hong Kong’s role as a leading centre for the movement and stewardship of important cultural assets, for both the local and international art world. Hong Kong is one of the world’s most important art markets, bolstered by its strategic freeport status, its proximity to the Greater Bay Area's robust collector base and transport links, and its vibrant ecosystem of leading museums, auction houses, art fairs, and galleries. The opening of this new, specialised art storage facility further fosters Hong Kong’s status as a global premium art trading hub.

Through this new state-of-the-art storage facility in the Airport ecosystem, clients and collections will have access to exceptional standards of security, global connectivity, operational discipline, seamless integration with global freight networks, and reduced transport distance, time, carbon footprint and handling risk.

Lewis Cheng, Founder of Eythos, said “We are thrilled to announce the launch of our landmark partnership with Hong Kong International Airport. Hong Kong has long been one of the leading global art centres and this major new facility within the city’s exceptional Airport will further anchor its position as a vital hub for international connectivity and trade.”
