A Retrospective on Eythos' Hong Kong Art Week 2026

The March 2026 art season in Hong Kong reached an unprecedented scale for Eythos, challenging our team to achieve a new standard of logistical excellence and coordination to ensure all events ran smoothly in parallel. For Eythos, this period served to emphasise our role as a fine art partner, moving beyond traditional logistics to provide bespoke solutions, including optimised transportation, secure storage, framing, crate fabrication, condition checks and precision installation including lighting, for the world’s most prestigious galleries and institutions.

Art Basel Hong Kong 2026: Year 1 as Official Shipper

Acting for the first time as an official shipper for Art Basel Hong Kong, Eythos managed the end-to-end orchestration for a significant number of international galleries. Our team oversaw every logistical layer, from the initial packing in galleries or artist studios to the optimisation of shipment routes for a reduced carbon footprint. Demonstrating our commitment to sustainability, Eythos' sea freight volume was nearly five times higher than air freight, a strategic shift that successfully avoided the emission of nearly 50 tons of CO2e, which is the equivalent to the annual carbon footprint of 6 average households.

Eythos acted as more than just a logistics partner, positioning ourselves as a dedicated fine art specialist. Indeed, our service extended from customs clearance to white-glove delivery, encompassing specialised technical support such as canvas stretching, framing, and pedestal fabrication.

Octone Foundation's Program 80

On March 21st, a unique exhibition opened its doors, breaking away from the confines of traditional art institutions. Curated by Chris Wan with the support of The Octone Foundation’s Program 80, "Ghostly, Godly / Human World" is a curatorial experiment exploring East Asian hauntology and spiritual life. Featuring five artists, including Simon Liu, Tang Kwok Hin, and On Kino, the exhibition examines the spectral dimension of everyday human relations, highlighting the coexistence of joy and suffering within the "Human Realm."

Eythos served as a logistics partner for this exhibition, managing the logistics and installation of artworks by Ha Bik Chuen and Cici Wu.

Korean Cultural Center "From Korea to Hong Kong: Expanding Horizons"

Leveraging our dual-facility presence in Hong Kong and Seoul, Eythos is always honoured to collaborate with the Korean Cultural Center (KCC) at PMQ, Hong Kong, for the exhibition "2026 From Korea to Hong Kong: Expanding Horizons." Opening on 24 March 2026, this showcase featured 11 Korean galleries and distinguished artists, including Michael Joo and Jae Yong Kim. Eythos acted as the logistics partner for the event, managing consolidation, shipments, condition checks and the installation of the artworks within the KCC space.

rén @ EAST | Art & Community

Eythos was proud to partner with the social enterprise rén and EAST Hong Kong for the month-long exhibition "rén @ EAST | Art & Community". Aligning with our core ESG goals of fostering inclusivity and supporting the local creative community, Eythos provided pro-bono technical services for the five featured emerging and local artists. These services included canvas stretching prior to the opening and unstretching following the show’s conclusion to facilitate shipping, and artworks installation. The event highlights the importance of creativity while providing vital hospitality work opportunities for disadvantaged Hong Kong youths.

Seoul Auction: Contemporary Art Sale

In addition to the above exhibitions, Eythos served as the logistics partner for another key Korean institution: Seoul Auction. Their latest contemporary art sales took place in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong from 25th to 28th of March. By utilizing our integrated network between Korea and Hong Kong, we provided consolidated transport that significantly facilitated logistics and coordination. Beyond the artworks shipments, our team managed the overnight installation ensuring every lot was perfectly positioned for the preview and auction days.

Pop-up Exhibition in Eythos Viewing Room

A Mimmo Paladino pop-up exhibition opened on 26th March in the Eythos Viewing Room as part of MASSIMODECARLO's art week. During this event, Eythos showcased their full technical suite, managing the transition from the gallery’s inventory directly into our facility for condition check followed by installation. Our in-house team prepared lighting environments using Casambi scenes and animations to tailor the illumination to Paladino’s specific textures. This integrated approach provided a unique viewing experience for guests while removing all logistical headaches for the gallery.

Villepin Gallery: Roam by Ted Gahl

On March 25th, Villepin Gallery debuted "Roam," a solo exhibition by American artist Ted Gahl. Eythos collaborated as the comprehensive logistics partner from transportation to installation on the gallery walls. Our scope of work included secure storage both prior to and following the exhibition, framing services, followed by installation. This collaboration underscores our commitment to providing seamless, dedicated support on all stages of an exhibition for one of our longest-standing partners in the Hong Kong art scene.

TwentyCinco

The TwentyCinco gallery established in SoHo 189 launched a group exhibition featuring a roster of world-renowned contemporary artists including VHILS, Shepard Fairey, Cleon Peterson, and L'Atlas. The opening reception held on march 25th drew an international audience to the space on Queen's Road West. Eythos was proud to serve as a key partner installating all featured works to ensure a flawless presentation for this exceptional pop up

Jaffa Lam x Axel Vervoordt Commissioned by Vogue

On March 26th, a collaboration between Axel Vervoordt Gallery and Hong Kong artist Jaffa Lam, commissioned by Vogue magazine, unfolded in the raw, evocative setting of an industrial building in Kwai Fong. This unconventional location was chosen to create a unique atmosphere that mirrored the architectural and industrial themes of Lam’s practice.

Eythos served as the unique partner for this exhibition, managing end-to-end logistics. Our team oversaw the transportation of all pieces, then our experienced Art Handlers executed installations on high ceilings for the artist's signature hanging artworks. In parallel, we also performed meticulous on-site retouching before the opening.

The Epic Eythos' Shadows Party

To close a high-intensity week filled with successful events, Eythos hosted the Shadows Party, bringing together everyone working behind the scenes, including Art fair coordinator, Art handlers, logistics partners.

The gathering was an altogether relaxing affair with food and free-flow drinks, where we could catch up with one another and with freelance colleagues we generally only see during these large events. And for some of us the night became a, dare we say, EPIC afterparty (you know who you are!!).

As we reflect on the success of these collaborations, it is clear that the future of art logistics lies in the perfect synergy of all art world expertise, from logistics and packaging to framing and technical installation, to ensure a smooth journey for every piece.

Carrying this energy forward, the Eythos' team is committed to raise the bar even higher across our daily operations to support galleries, museums, private collectors or our next international art fair, The Hive Seoul.
