Since its launch in 2024, Eythos has placed Sustainability as a founding pillar. As a leading provider of art storage and logistics solutions, we have proactively aligned ourselves with two initiatives recognised worldwide: the United Nations Global Compact (UN GC) and the Gallery Climate Coalition (GCC). Our objective is to lead by example, thereby inspiring others to follow our actions.
Eythos is an active participant in the United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative. This commitment reflects our dedication to embedding long-term environmental guidelines and ethical practices into every facet of the operations. By adhering to the UN GC's ten principles, covering human rights, labour standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption, we strengthen our involvement to foster Environment, Social and Governance rules of not just Eythos’s operations, but across the ecosystems we are involved in. For Eythos, this participation is more than compliance; it's a foundational ethos that ensures we protect not only artworks but also the people and communities involved.
Since its incorporation, Eythos has been recognised as an Active member by the Gallery Climate Coalition, GCC. As an Active Member, Eythos demonstrates substantial contributions to minimise the art industry's environmental impact. The GCC brings together galleries, artists, institutions, and logistics providers in a collaborative network dedicated to lessen the sector's carbon emissions by at least 50% by 2030, in line with the Paris Agreement, while promoting zero-waste practices.
Our active status highlights tangible actions: strategically locating our eco-efficient warehouses in Hong Kong and Seoul near efficient transport hubs to minimise travel emissions, investing in eco-friendly packing materials, and integrating carbon footprint assessments of Scope 1, 2 and 3 to be aligned with GHG protocols into our services. Joining the GCC allows us to exchange best practices with peers, innovate in areas like reusable crating and low-emission shipping, and drive collective progress toward a greener art ecosystem.
At Eythos, ESG is embedded into our operations: protecting what matters: artworks, client trust, and the environment. Through our UN GC participation and GCC active membership, we not only meet worldwide standards but exceed them, inspiring the broader art logistics sector to follow suit. As we grow, we remain committed to transparency, innovation, and collaboration, to ensure our daily operations are as green as possible.
