“Reframing Strangeness: Ha Bik Chuen’s Motherboards and Collagraphs” at Para Site
Para Site is a significant independent contemporary art center in Hong Kong and has established itself as a prominent cultural institution within Asia since its inception in 1996.
Ha Bik Chuen (1925-2009), a Hong Kong sculptor and printmaker, significantly contributed to the city’s art scene from the 1960s to the 2000s. His enduring legacy is interwoven with an extensive archive of prints, sculptures, and photographs that captured the quintessential characteristics of Hong Kong.
On the occasion of Ha’s 100th birth anniversary, Para Site hosted the exhibition “Reframing Strangeness”, assembling wooden ‘motherboards’ and collagraphs dating to the 1970s and 1980s. The institution partnered with Eythos for the transportation, delivery, and installation of Ha’s works for the exhibition.
Eythos' art handling team worked closely with Para Site's curators over three days to assess the condition of each artwork and develop the best installation and display methods. The team handled every piece with thorough precision and care for the exhibition.
